Peace be with you!
On September 21, concerned citizens, organizations and movements of various political, religious and ideological beliefs will join forces in a “United People’s Action” at the Luneta Park to mark the 46th anniversary of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos’ declaration of martial law with the theme: “Labanan ang Diktadura!”
The activity aims to make our people remember the lessons of that dark era of our history and make sure that tyranny and dictatorship will never again engulf our nation. This is also our democratic response to Pres. Duterte’s dangerous push for federalism, charter change, and talk of imposing a military junta or revolutionary government.
Please join us in this peaceful yet powerful commemoration and protest to be held from 4-7 p.m. at the area fronting the Rizal Monument along Roxas Boulevard. We are expecting at least 20,000 to attend.
Also we would also like to solicit your financial and/or material support for the activity. We are raising funds for the cost of the stage, sound system, lights and other expenses. We are also appealing for donations of food and water for the hundreds of volunteers involved. Any help in cash or kind will be appreciated.
