We, as Catholics are deeply saddened by the brutal killing of Fr. Richmond Nilo, parish priest of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish in the Diocese of Cabanatuan. The news was particularly shocking in view of the still unresolved murder of Fr. Mark Anthony Ventura of Cagayan in May 2018 and Fr. Tito Paez of Nueva Ecija in December 2017.
The Women for Christ Community joins the Church in praying for the repose of the soul of Fr. Nilo and for the members of his family, relatives and friends to have peace in their hearts during their bereavement.
As we condemned the brutal killing of Fr. Nilo and the other priests, we pray that the Lord will guide our leaders in the government in restoring peace and order, while respecting human dignity and instilling Christian moral values.
